For two brides who went shopping independently of one another, six months apart and at different dress shops, Nicole and Jonna had the most coordinated wedding gowns I’ve ever seen. They so perfectly complimented one another, and is just one example of how perfect these two are together.
On their wedding day, Nicole and Jonna got ready separately, and had a tearful and beautiful first look at Mt. Airy Forest Arboretum. They were happily shocked at their amazing dress selections, which were raved about all day. Witnessing these two share their love openly and tender during their portraits was a joy. They make each other infectiously happy. I remember asking them to kiss their favorite part of their partner’s face, and Nicole kissed Jonna nose. We all giggled. I asked Jonna if she knew that fact, and she hadn’t. It’s true: learning new things about each other, even years later, is so fun. I encourage all couples to keep communication and growth opportunities open, because we are endlessly developing individually and relationally.
After photos with their wedding party, ceremony time was upon us. As guests arrived, we walked down a long trail in the park, that led to a gazebo in a sunlit field. Here, Nicole and Jonna became wives. With a short limo ride downtown to Rhinegeist, their reception was filled with City BBQ for dinner (a favorite of couples these days), and lots of dancing, but not before we ventured to the rooftop for sunset photos.
It’s been wonderful getting to know Nicole and Jonna over the last two years, and I’m so glad they get to spend their forever days together.
