Sarah and Rachel married on their 6th anniversary, and if you ask me, that’s the perfect way to celebrate and commemorate their past, present, and future.
And so, on September 29th, I arrived at their airBNB to photograph them getting ready for their big day.
Pro Tip: Hotels are fantastic for getting ready photos, but not always. Sometimes the rooms aren’t big enough for you and your crew, or there aren’t any near your wedding location (especially true in more rural areas). If you’re looking for an alternative, a well-lit airBNB is perfect and unique!
After a first look, we were off to Mt. Airy Forest for portraits. One of my favorite details from Sarah and Rachel’s wedding day were the wedding attendant’s dresses! So colorful, and the beaded designs gave me heart eyes! They paired beautifully with the bright navy suits and brides’ dresses, all adding to their boho wedding vibe.
Sarah and Rachel were all smiles and happy tears during their processional. The way Rachel watched Sarah walk into the ceremony, with the most adoring eyes, melted my heart. The ceremony was heartfelt, and included another unique element: a gorgeous unity plant.
After the ceremony, they greeted and hugged their guests before enjoying dinner and toasts. The brides went on to share their first dance, with a dance with their fathers and mothers to follow. The reception ended with a s’mores bar and super fun dance party to boot!
Cheers to the newlyweds (who are currently honeymooning in new Zealand)!
“Cass was the most receptive and responsive person we worked with when planning our wedding! She was always kind, understanding and friendly. Before the wedding she was prepared and organized. The day of the wedding, she provided guidance and calm during the normal wedding day chaos. Her experience working with the LGBTQ shines through as she made us feel so comfortable. This made for genuine photos that were filled with love and exceeded our expectations. My wife and I can’t stop looking and at the photos and are excited to continue to follow her future work. We would recommend Cass to any friends and family members!” – Kind words from the couple.
