Kind words from the couple:
“Cass, you are simply amazing! Choosing you to capture one the most important days of our lives was the best decision we ever made. As we’ve said to friends recently, there are picture takers and then there are photographers — you are second to none! We truly appreciated your patience and care throughout the day. Your ability to make us forget that we were being photographed (or that anyone else was around) is a real gift. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! We will treasure these photographs for the rest of our lives.”

Stephanie and Beth met later in life, and share a love that has a special, “I’ve waited my entire life for you” kind of joy. It gives me the warm and fuzzies every time I think about it.
For their long awaited wedding day, Stephanie and Beth chose the classy and modern Hotel Covington as their venue. It created a space of warmth, intimacy, and an open air ceremony in the courtyard. But perhaps, and maybe even surprisingly, my favorite element of Hotel Covington isn’t the industrial, brick courtyard or the modern ballroom, but the stunning guest suites. Beautifully decorated with large windows for natural light, they’re a photographer’s dream. Lucky me, Stephanie and Beth got ready together there, creating some of my favorite pre-ceremony images ever.
For their portraits, we ventured to Devou Park’s Rotary Grove, and of course, stopped at the Overlook for a city view, before heading to Hotel Covington for photos with their loving wedding party. Stephanie and Beth are tender yet playful, and full of the biggest and best smiles. Their love for one another radiates, and it makes you feel even brighter, too.
Walking into their together ceremony together to “At Last,” was quite fitting for these two. From the readings chosen and read by loved ones, the music and musicians chosen, to their community gathering around the brides, every detail was personal and meaningful. You could feel the rush of energy and love, enough to bring happy tears to the eyes of many.
After countless hugs and congratulations shared post ceremony and a cocktail hour spent mingling, the wedding party was announced into the reception. After Stephanie and Beth’s first dance, Beth danced with her son, and later, her daughter, to a super fun, party song during the reception. It was an evening no one wanted to end, and the beginning of a beautiful forever that I’m certain will continue to sweep them on their feet.
Cheers to you, S + B!
