I adore Tyler and Lauren. They’re kind, madly in love, fellow dog parents, and simply, truly good humans.
After attending the same high school but never meeting, Lauren and Tyler finally connected at college, where they also fell in love. Then being long distance, Lauren moved to North Carolina to be with Tyler. They married in Cincinnati last fall.
. . .
On the Saturday of their wedding, I arrived, photographing Lauren getting ready with her mother and wedding party. The room was filled with joy in anticipation for the evening’s events. After getting into her dress, Lauren and her father shared a tearful father-daughter first look. Emotional moments like these on wedding days give me all the heart eyes.
After Tyler’s finishing touches, Lauren and Tyler had their first look at The Center. Tyler’s display of emotion was beautiful, and they took a minute to just be with one another in this moment. Soon we were off to Eden Park for portraits, where more fun ensued with their wedding party and families.
For their couple’s portraits, Lauren and Tyler were entirely wrapped up in one another. They have a gentleness about them, and their love for one another is undeniable. Lauren’s smile beamed, and the way they looked at one another was so warm. The wind also helped us out for a few overlook images.
The emotion continued throughout their ceremony. Laughter, tears, full hearts. And the most cheerful recessional smiles.
Lauren and Tyler stole a few private moments away post-ceremony to be alone together. (Pro-tip: I encourage this for all couples, and especially for the introverts. Wedding days are beautiful and full, but they can also feel a bit much to those of us who feel the weight of large groups of people, even those we love. It’s important to spend time alone with each other, too.)
After greeting their adoring guests during the reception, the lovebirds were celebrated over heartfelt toasts. A dance party rounded out the evening — complete with donuts, a late night guest favorite.
Just look at the way Lauren’s looking at Tyler. Magic.
